Executive Summary to Administration
Health Information Technology (HIT) is widely used by healthcare institutes and organizations to keep patient data and medical reports safe and organized. Healthcare providers can get valuable information about their patients using this information. However, for a better-improved treatment and catering to all needs of patients, this data can be shared with other healthcare providers involved in providing care to patients. However, to improve health results patients and healthcare providers need to collaborate and for this purpose, they need to focus on effective communication. For this purpose, patients can give their feedback which can be used to improve healthcare providers’ clinical experience.
Informatics Model Solution for Strategic Outcomes
Healthcare providers utilize nursing informatics technologies to carry out the functions of diagnosis, developing healthcare plans, and follow-ups, and providing treatment and medications. Statistical data on patients’ health allows healthcare providers to utilize it to understand their patient’s needs in a better way. Furthermore, These technologies also help to maintain and retrieve patients’ information in a huge database which also keeps the data confidential. This data also allows a smooth flow of information between interdisciplinary healthcare providers.
Effect Change Theories and Models
Healthcare informatics can access necessary information such as the medical condition of a patient with an already weak immune system to prevent them from adverse conditions. Moreover, the information is also beneficial in enhancing adherence to medication, coordination of care, and other healthcare facilities, all according to the laws and regulations of information. Healthcare institutions utilize technologies that are beneficial for both patients and healthcare providers. Such as nurses who have exceptional technology skills can enhance the clinical treatment of patients by using data and automated procedures.
Practice Standards
Nursing Informatics enables nurses to use HIT techniques in their clinical practice to provide better results for patients. The following techniques can be used to bring out the best in healthcare interventions.
- Develop new databases and apps for nurses
- Apply privacy rules for patients as per practice standards and laws.
- Utilize available data to improve nursing practices
- Adherence to standard practice for storing, evaluating, and managing data in electronic health records.
- Communication improvement between healthcare providers and IT department.
Regulatory Information Impacts The Use Of Health Information Technology
As per the Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIT is necessary to increase effectiveness. It is also beneficial for managing the cost of health care in the USA. HIT can also assist in the transformation of the system of healthcare delivery better. The advanced platform enables the nurse to get access to health information quickly.
The Importance Of Creating A HIPAA-Compliant Spreadsheet
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is one of the major strategies to align data with the law and protect the medical information of patients. As a result, healthcare facilities, health insurers, and suppliers are bound by a HIPAA compliance checklist to protect private and sensitive patient information (HIPAA, 2020). Spreadsheets serve as an efficient strategy to collect, maintain, and retrieve health information. The spreadsheets also adhere to HIPAA regulations for protecting and securing patient’s important information.
