Professional Development Proposal for CapraTek Alfred! Program Team

As Motivational Manager of CapraTek’s poop Alfred! Program Team, I am formally requesting sponsorship to enable our team members to attend a professional development team-building event, as well as online team training with Global Integration. With the recent growth of our team, with employees now spread across the country, I feel that now is the time to improve our efficiency and our communication. Strong teamwork is crucial, particularly with new staff located around the world, and this project would greatly enhance our team’s unity.

The importance of communication across cultural divides cannot be overstated, especially in the case of a global team. The Global Integration program with a team-building activity would enhance team spirit and build higher understanding within team members. Global Integration has over 25 years of expertise in providing training to various world-class clients with diversified backgrounds. Their offerings include different training formats suitable for virtual teams, including

• Keynote speeches
• Participative face-to-face workshops
• Interactive web seminars
• High-volume web seminars
• Effective online learning (“Global Integration,” 2021)

According to research, technology accounts for only 10% of issues remote teams are experiencing (Dinardi, 2021). As the virtual team manager, I received adequate training to equip me with the necessary communication plans and skill sets. Yet all our current and new team members are new to performing their tasks in an entirely remote work environment. If you approve this proposal, my team can serve as a pilot team to see if other teams within CapraTek would be well served by such training.

Team Building Activity

The second part of my proposal includes an activity with Gamenightout.com. We use the 90-minute interactive activity, which costs $199.00, to foster team unity and boost confidence in our communication processes (“Game Night,” 2021). Comments have been extremely positive from former participants:

• “Our team utilized Game Night, and we enjoyed it immensely! We all collaborated, and it distracted us from the tough work we do daily.”
• “It was a wonderful way to get the team together for a bit of fun and team building. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the next one.”

These kinds of team-building exercises are significant, particularly for virtual teams. They offer a space for non-work-related conversation, which strengthens trust and better working relationships—like an informal chat would in an office environment. By undergoing the Global Integration training and Game Night, our team would acquire the experience and skills that allow us to communicate more effectively and strengthen our bond.

Investing in human beings is important, and I feel that this proposal is an investment that will yield enormous dividends. This training and team-building activity will not only provide our staff with valuable development opportunities, but it will also foster a sense of belonging, enhance morale, and cultivate skills that can be applied throughout the company.
