Organization of files is a critical part of effective workflow management. In my present position, I follow a simple method of creating and making use of subfolders to systematically organize documents. This is followed in my mail management as well, where I use subfolders to provide rapid access to crucial information. On the contrary, seeing other people save files in a single “Documents” folder evokes questions about how they can store or find files efficiently in the future. For example, my folder organization consists of subfolders like “Policies,” “Tutorials,” and “Writing Resources” within the “Student_Life_Hagaman” directory. These subfolders act as specialized repositories for particular types of documents, promoting organization and ease of access.

 Part 2: Digital Tools

In the context of digital software, Microsoft Teams is a viable option to improve collaboration in my workplace. As I go about investigating its features, I foresee using Microsoft Teams to create a unified hub for my team. The hub would enable the sharing of tip sheets, keeping a common time-off calendar, and efficient communication using instant messaging. Considering the organizational environment of my workplace—a teaching hospital with both healthcare and research components—Microsoft Teams offers a strong solution to fill communication gaps between disparate entities. In addition, the platform provides an array of features beyond initial assumptions. From applying Visio to process mapping to using OneNote for organizational tasks, Microsoft Teams enables holistic project management. Most importantly, the capacity to allocate tasks, monitor progress, and exchange documents in real-time supports collaboration and boosts productivity among team members.

As part of strengthening my knowledge about Microsoft Teams, I referred to credible sources like support.microsoft.com, where in-depth guides and tutorial videos explained different features of the platform.Also, I visited Microsoft Teams via my organization’s suggested portal, which reaffirmed its legitimacy.Alongside investigating Microsoft Teams, I embarked on finding Headspace—a wellness digital platform that seeks to foster good mental health through meditation and mindfulness. Based on browsing the official help center and navigating introductory resources, I learned about Headspace’s functionality and advantages. Interested in its potential for managing stress, I tried a meditation exercise for a beginner, and I felt it myself. As I acknowledge the presence of superior features that cost money, I appreciate the contribution of such apps to building resilience in the mind and reducing stress.
