BUS FPX 4801 Assessment 2 This report explores the ethical issue of unstable pay distribution in companies, where directors admit disproportionately advanced compensation compared to average workers. The analysis discusses the moral dilemma of commercial rapacity, its social and profitable impacts, and suggests results for promoting fair compensation and equivalency.
What’s Included:
Improvement in the quality of life is economic development; yet, the compensation policy of the company usually lies in the money among a handful of people, inflicting negative social impacts. This article analyzes unequal distribution of money and moral dilemmas resulting from its impact on society. Moreover, it suggests a solution to end the problem.
The term “per employee” refers to a calculation used to measure the income effectiveness of revenue generated by RPE businesses, but it does not account for capital investments. Even with this limitation, it reveals the requisite connection between employees and income (Urosvik, 2021). Nevertheless, the top management of the company are readily connected by this fact, with C-dress employees usually the sole beneficiaries of added profits. This connection of the CEO and worker is evident in a wider disparity between pay, increasing from 21-to-1 in 1965 to 351-to-1 in 2020 (Kandra and Michelle, 2021). Such disparity is representative of Apple, where the average worker’s wage is significantly less than the CEO’s pay and per-worker profits (Carpenter, 2021; Romberg, 2019; Vanian, 2020). This trend emphasizes the moral dilemma of reducing employees’ contributions while rewarding the authorities.
The dominant corporate culture of putting profit ahead of fair pay widens socio-economic disparity, negatively impacting society. Three decades of advantageous practices, such as outsourcing and pension plan abolition, have directly impacted the working class, while many individuals have to live in the uncertainty of finance and uncertain pensions (Balad, 2021; Walch, 2020). Economic disparity not only diminishes social welfare but also brings long-term company stability to an end through lessened consumer demand.
To solve this moral crisis, there must be a core corporate policy shift towards equal remuneration. Employing these shifts cannot yield instantaneous equivalent benefits for reasons of the company’s profitability, but it is a significant step towards decreasing utilization and increasing social equality. The view that benefits are a second option highlights moral necessities for firms, which place the employee’s well-being above the welfare of accommodating excessive wealth (Wikipedia contributors, 2021). By assassinating corporate values without fair compensation, society can minimize the destructive consequences of economic inequality and cultivate a more sustainable future.
Ultimately, the proportional sharing of funds among the companies results in significant ethical dilemmas of far-reaching implication for society. Through the optimization of rightful workers’ compensation, the companies are able to counter these issues and lead to a fairer and more sustainable financial situation. Ultimately, discovering profits should never be at the cost of dignity and social welfare.
